The Jester is back and now he wants to give away 106 acres of municipal land to Weeks Bay. The very same Jester who used his elected position for personal gain by securing the Fairhope Art Center Contract. The same Jester who favored the Fly Creek Apartments and it’s developer over his constituents.

The Fairhope Jester supports the Kant-Corte Apartments on Fly Creek, at the same time he is building his own home on Fly Creek. Surely you jest! The Jester supports the developer…

The same Jester is 100% behind the conservation easement.

The Fairhope City Council and Weeks Bay are trying to tell the general public that a Conservation Easement does not mean Weeks Bay owns the property. True they also have no lease or title to the land.

Beware the Jester is laughing at you.

Fairhope appears ignorant at first glance. A stale fart in the wind. A dog that won’t hunt. A place once quaint. Now it t’aint.

Too many of the residents and city administrators see Fairhope as if it is a small town
Fairhope is getting big – too big for this small town thinking

Vote Jester and all council out 2020

As I recall, Robert Brown was opposed to the Fly Creek Apartments while he was trying to win a Council seat. After we elected him to help put an end to that development, he voted totally in support of Corte and the apartments. I believe he stated that Corte had been his mentor and that he (Brown) would always support him and didn’t care what anyone else thought.
Imho, that makes it very difficult to believe that Brown could ever put the well-being of Fairhope above that of Corte. I hate it because he could have been an effective leader if he didn’t have such a massive conflict of interest. I don’t think that he is necessarily a horrible person but he sold us out before and will probably do it again.

And yet, watch the voters put him back in office the next election.
People in Fairhope are so gullible. They overpay for houses so they can say they live in Fsirhope yet their arrogance shows their blindness to what developers are doing to the very same home they are overpaying for

Sell us out again? He already did: Once by approving the apartments for developers and then trying to put the Dyas Triangle into a (cough) “Conservation Easement” for, you guessed it…. developers.
What is so bad is that the Council members are not even refuting the claims lodged against them. Why have they NOT spoken out about their true intentions if their intentions are pure? Becuase they have not spoken out I can only assume that they are owned by the developers.
If these guys are not voted out the next election then I will so disappointed with my fellow Fairhopians.

Not only did he sell us out he filled his pockets while he smiled and sold us out.

      He is a good Christian.
He did not take a poverty oath for godssakes! The man has to make a living. He has a family.

      • Georgia Orwell | July 15, 2019 at 10:51 am |

No one expected him to ‘take a poverty oath’; we expected him to honor his word and fight against the apartments. If his sole income came from being Corte’s lackey, it might be understandable that he lied to the voters. However, he owns a partnership in a solid profitable business and I thought that was where his income was derived.

        • That is why these council”men” ran- not to serve the city but to serve THEMSELVES.
Just look at the make up of the council. We have developers, bankers, and lackeys beholding to Corte.
If the voters cannot see this then they DESERVE to have the town overcrowded and taxes go up while seeing Mobile Bay turn into a cesspool. This goes for Daphne as well.
But enough people aren’t saying anything. These “public servants” are betting that the people who are supposed to vote are too busy with everyday life that they will not look and see what the local politicians are doing.
Meanwhile Corte and the council are wheeling and dealing and selling us out on the cheap.

          You nailed this one Georgia.
Qualridge, we do not expect a poverty oath – just don’t let “Christian greed” be an excuse to lie and steal in the name of “Christian.”
I am sick and tired of hearing “Christian,” “Conservative,” and “Christian Conservative.” I know this is what Catalyst tells them to say because these words poll well at election and seeing these guys in a church on Sundays makes for good photo ops, but too many of see through this.
Remember that Jesus forgave the sinners but chastised the hypocrites who wanted to be seen in public as “religious.”

Dang Hypocrites, you got their number. I am getting sick of these greedy people infiltrate our churches and our government in the name of not taking a poverty oath.

          • ConservativeGOPer | July 17, 2019 at 4:40 am |

Robert Brown did not make any money off of the city.
            This is all just jealousy.

            • True GOPer | July 17, 2019 at 6:43 am |

Uh huh, Tell me he got nothing for the apartment deal. Tell me his contract for the Art Center was non profit. Tell me he doing a conservation easement out of pure goodness. Then you can tell me about fairies and unicorns.
Don’t make these statements expecting everyone to believe what you say just because you say so.
I would bet, “ConservativeGOPer,” that just by your name you are probably one of the catalysts that have hijacked the Republican Party in this county just by your misappropriation of you using the terms “Conservative” and “GOP.”
More and more voters are becoming aware of catalyst’s shallow methods and see through you and your cohorts

Do good Christians lie like Brown did?

Jealousy by weak people over Robert’s new house is sad.
Get a job people. It’s called work.
