DELIBERATE DISTORTION OR TWISTING OF MEANING

The Fairhope City Council and Weeks Bay are trying to tell the general public that a Conservation Easement does not mean Weeks Bay owns the property. True they also have no lease or title to the land.

The city is simply “disposing” of the property and any control of the property. The City would be signing over management and control for perpetuity to Weeks Bay. That’s forever baby!

DISPOSAL

The President of the Fairhope City Council has held on to that title for over 7 years. This is extremely rare, most often Councils share the position of Council President with other Council members.

Why would the City of Fairhope “dispose” of prime city property?

THREE STRIKES | THE RIPP REPORT / BALDWIN COUNTY LEGAL EAGLE

If you attended or watched on YouTube, the 3 hour and 34 minute Fairhope City Council meeting, May 29th, then there should be no doubt in your mind how dysfunctional the Council is.

Source: rippreport.com/2019/05/31/three-strikes/

The Fairhope City Council has been striking out since they were elected. Citizens had better come together and prevent the council from “politically disposing” of 106 acres of City of Fairhope Property.

Shame on Weeks Bay for playing semantics with the future of Fairhope.

Who is the anonymous donor coughing up 39,000 dollars for this good ole boy deal? Why does Weeks Bay and the City Council want to keep it a secret?

The anonymous donor is a Catalyst developer who is basically paying for a real estates option for future development.
    These guys are so predictable.

Fairhope citizens are supposed to be smart.
      Smarter than this at least.

Yiu will be surprised at how dumb many Fairhope voters are. As a third generation Fairhoper I see many people in this town think they are so smart and better than most others. It is this arrogance that makes them vulnerable to looking stupid

I smell a filthy corte rat.

  3. Y’all are a bunch of pot stirring idiots! Get a life.

    • Anonymous | June 16, 2019 at 9:28 pm |

Hey Chris W, exactly what are we stirring the pot about?

      • Anonymous | June 17, 2019 at 2:43 pm |

Once again, Chris W, you along with the other trolls cannot answer a simple question: what part of Ripp’s report is incorrect?

    • Anonymous | June 17, 2019 at 5:11 am |

Chris tell us where we are idiots. You probably won’t answer because Ripp is calling it as he sees it.
I challenge you to either answer unless you have no answer

Ripp sued Burrell and went to the tropics.

        • Anonymous | June 18, 2019 at 8:18 am |

Yes, indeed. None of Ripp’s detractors can ever dispute Ripp’s claims. All they can do is a hit and run style of demeaning remark and not answer any specific questions

        • Sooth Sayer | June 18, 2019 at 8:22 pm |

Ripp sued Burrell and Ripp went to the tropics… AND Burrell went to Weeks Bay

Hey Ripp, why don’t you post something about the overworked sewer plant that is spilling sewage in the gulleys and what the council is doing (or NOT doing) about it?
Their is no more local news here in town to cover it.

    • Baldwin Sage | June 20, 2019 at 8:25 am |

With the last sewage spill of 250 gallons in the gulley after the last rain, this news is just old news More spills will occur and just get bigger as the council lets their builder-friends build more subdivisions. A sewage spill only costs $10,000 to the EPA which is cheaper than expanding the current sewage facilities
Drop a gum wrapper on the street and you will get fined by the city but the city can dump hundreds of gallons in the bay
The point here is that this is just one of the many double standards of the city brought on by corruption and a lack of values

      • The current council members have no soul because they sold them earlier to developers
