It does not take a chain saw, it only takes a vote.

Sometimes you have to send a strong public message to politicians, elected officials and appointed boards to get their attention. When people do unite and reach a level of frustration that brings them together, then you see results. Petitions are a very good way to send a strong message.

Congratulations Fairhope citizens your 2276 signatures on a petition convinced the Fairhope Single Tax to back off the proposed Tuberville subdivision.

Baldwin County Commissioner Chris Elliott, supported by Tucker Dorsey, both are Catalyst candidates, recently tried, again, to deny the Zundle’s Road public access to Mobile Bay. They did not count on the chainsaw or Lagniappe.

Man chainsaws public barricade, dumps debris in county office – Lagniappe Mobile

Man chainsaws public barricade, dumps debris in county office – Lagniappe Mobile

Last week a man walked into Baldwin County Commission Chairman Chris Elliott’s office and dumped debris from a piece of county property he had chainsawed down earlier that day. It was a rather dramatic escalation in a long battle over waterfront access in Point Clear, but Michael Hutchison said he’s tired of history repeating itself …

You have to ask yourself why would an elected official running for office do such a dumb thing. There is an easy answer. Donors to their campaigns, that live on the bay, do not want to be bothered with the common folk using public access on Zundle’s Road.

Please sign the petition that supports the Zundel’s Road, public access to Mobile bay

Sign the petition: Save Public Water Accesses

Sign the petition: Save Public Water Accesses

I just signed a petition to Governor Kay Ivey, The United States House of Representatives, President Donald Trump, The United States Senate, The Alabama State House, and The Alabama State Senate: The Baldwin County Commission or any private individual shall be prohibited from blocking vehicular access to any public access leading to the waters of the state of Alabama.

A vote is stronger than a petition, Please unite and show Elliott, Dorsey and Catalyst the door, June 5 Primary election.

Tucker and Chris really screwed the pooch this time.

    • American | May 7, 2018 at 2:58 pm |

Don’t count on it – they have Jon Gray, the PR person who tells Tucker and Elliot to say “God tells us to do this.” You see, thump a Bible, say you are for Trump, and will fight against sanctuary cities and you will hypnotize the voting masses.
But people are finding out that Tucker and Elliot do not have a monopoly on God or Trump and know that one can be against sanctuary cities and Tucker/Elliot at the same time.

Which donors living on the bay contributed to which campaigns? I don’t really have a strong stance on the Zundel’s issue because I don’t know all the facts. But if you are going to make such a conclusory statement, it would go a lot further if you stated some actual…ya know…facts.

    • Clearhtwooh | May 7, 2018 at 3:17 pm |

      Campaign finance yo.

    • Anonymous | May 7, 2018 at 3:42 pm |

If you don’t have a strong stance on The Zundel issue. Then shut the hell up. You want facts. Just go look at the campaign signs in front of the houses around there. These are mainly Catalyst supporters and that’s a fact. They do not agree with the public having access and have screamed and shouted at people who are doing nothing but walking down to see the water. So Shut up. That’s all the facts you need. A 5 year old can figure this one out.

    • Point Clear Resident | May 7, 2018 at 4:18 pm |

We look at campaign finance reports and see the Catalyst supporters on the bay. Don’t be glib and ask for facts – we have them and so do you. We see where money from out of state have been feeding these candidates and buying them so they can further have their way in our Baldwin County. Elliot and Dorsey have sold out Baldwin County and we the people are going to take it back.
By the way, I and others have been using Zundel Road for years long before those people moved in and tried to hijack our home. Tucker and Elliot have been part of the gang that have been complicit in letting these people steal our birthright. These two have hit a hot button this time.
Are you getting the picture now? We are tired of you and your filthy corrupt candidates stealing our home – we are coming and will not stop until our home is returned to us…

That would be Scott Boone’s ass wouldn’t it be? Wonder if lee Turner is involved. Circle ……?

    • New WTcher | May 7, 2018 at 9:23 pm |

Well why don’t you tell your side? Come on and justify what you and your outside developers have done? You all have let Truland come in from Dallas and overwhelm our county without making them pay one dime for their damage because they paid you and they the crooked catalyst bunch iff
Go ahead and deny it and explain. Explain how you have allowed the destruction of Parker Road and fouled up Mobike Bay

      • Catalyst doesn’t have a side other than they want power to buy politicians and take our bay from us leaving us with a Baldwin County that will resemble either Theodore or worse, Marietta. Just look where Tucker came from and where Haygood got his trying from. Atlanta
After they were trained in the business side they then got the political training from Lyn Stacy. They then handed this down to Boone and it became Catalyst

Yes you Catalysts we have your number. You have not responded and told your side because we already know it and we know YOU

    • Anonymous | May 8, 2018 at 5:25 pm |

We will see how this bunch of sheep vote you out

It feels like something has to give. Burrell may be at the end of his reign of terror.

    • Citizens | May 7, 2018 at 8:48 pm |

I can assure you that Jack Burrell and some of his family members are creating pure evil in our schools and Jack has always thought he was King Kong. He’s just a dumbass who we have let too much rope out. Let’s reel it in and straighten him and his family member out!!! Freakin tired of the BS going on and on and on. Everyone grow a pair and throw out all of them. Scott Boone, are you being sweet on some of the candidates. I thought you were a real man. But I’m not judging. I know some men who are jealous though. Tell us Scott Boone? You seem to come up to everyone I have talked to lately. Don’t talk to or try and screw my candidates after you pull their pants down.

  6. Highfallutin | May 8, 2018 at 6:05 am |

So how many folk live in Fairhope now? People say 16k I laugh. It has to be 30k. The lines of traffic are snarling up the roadways. I swear and yall want more houses and crowds in schools? Why? So Jack Burrell can have two beach condos? Stop the idiocy. Stop the denials. Fairhope has to change.

    • Most of Fairhope doesn’t want all this overcrowding! Truland has bought the council and commission so they are running rampant all over the county!
For every house the builders drop in the county they are adding two cars and two kids to the schools. So when Truland adds over 4,000 more houses over the next five years yiu can see what will be the consequences
Ask the elected officials about this and see if you get a straight answer

  7. Palominehorse | May 8, 2018 at 9:54 am |

Thanks for asking for my email. I will enjoy getting the updates as soon as they are posted! Down with Catalyst! Go Mayor Karin! Go Rippstir!

Tucker Dorsey may be big enough to haul a kayak from across Scenic 98 all the way down Zundel to the water, but I am not. If I drive into the Bay by accident, I promise to not sue Baldwin County or the State of Alabama. Zundel Road needs to remain open unless and until we see dozens of Alabama idiots driving off the pier like lemmings.

    • Anonymous | May 9, 2018 at 8:13 am |

It’s not about bringing a kayak across the road. It is about a few people who moved in by the bay, wanting it all for themselves, and gettting the Commission to block the road betting nobody knew about the Supreme Court decision.
Hutchinson is a brave person and what he did standing up to this illegL act he did for all of us. We need more like him.
When Tucker Dorsey said it was “Not cool” what Hutchison did then Dorsey should also know that trying to deprave the public of its right was even more not cool.

  9. Inspector Clouseau | May 9, 2018 at 2:49 am |

Fairhope thinks its sh*t don’t stink.
Just go down to the pier.
