THREESOME

Baldwin County has 14 municipalities and at any given time several are embroiled in some sort of corruption, that they are pulling a blanket over. It truly is amazing how elected officials use the legal system to wash their dirty laundry.

SPANISH FORT:

https://mynbc15.com/news/local/settlement-reached-in-alleged-slapping-incident-involving-spanish-fort-mayor

The so called trial, that found the Mayor not guilty, was a sham. It took going to federal court to get any justice. The Mayor should have had to make a public apology.

“Today City Attorney David Conner says a filing in federal court puts the claim to rest dismissing the case because – “A resolution has now been reached,” said Conner. The resolution could involve a settlement between the city’s insurance company and Lyndsey Cooper. Conner says the terms of the settlement will remain confidential. He says no city funds will be involved.”

So in Spanish Fort we are not to believe what we see! The city attorney says, “no city funds will be involved”, he failed to mention that the city pays for the insurance. The insurance company will pay. Insult upon insult.

SUMMERDALE: Copping out on Cops

Baldwin County’s own speed trap, feeding upon the tourists, who unfortunately traveled through Summerdale. Don’t blame the police. You cannot operate a speed trap like Summerdale’s without the Baldwin County Sheriff ignoring it. Mayor David Wilson admitted to the well circulated rumor of Summerdale being a speed trap. Wilson has been Mayor for 28 years, he knows damn right well what is going on. How about the Municipal Judge Robert Stankowski or municipal attorney Spencer Davis? They knew what was going on. So don’t blame the police. They are just pawns of the city. If the city Mayor, Judge and Municipal attorney, are involved in a speed trap, then you must wonder what else is going on. Lawsuits will follow but don’t worry the insurance company will pay.

“According to its 2019 annual report, the 10-officer Summerdale Police Department, patrolling a town with a population of just 1,468 people according to the 2020 Census, wrote nearly 4,000 traffic citations that year. The town’s land area only covers about 10 square miles, but its 1.5-mile police jurisdiction encompasses at least seven miles of State Highway 59 and the parallel Baldwin Beach Express, two of three main corridors to the state’s most heavily visited tourist attraction. The police jurisdiction nearly triples the town’s total land area.

The city is depending on the insurance company to pay for any lawsuits

FAIRHOPE aka FAUXHOPE

Who the hell knows what is going on at the Fairhope Airport?

http://thefairhopetimes.blogspot.com/2022/02/airport-attorney-objects-to-private.html

A Times reporter was the only citizen present.

Investigating the Investigators

Jack Burrell put the airport center stage years ago with his slight of hand trick involving the municipal Judge. He topped that off with refusing to allow a citizen to address the council during public participation, where the municipal attorney just sat on his hands.

SEE YA IN COURT JACK

Fauxhope citizens can rest easy because the municipal attorney said no city funds were paid to settle the lawsuit. Just insurance money.

Have ya noticed one thing in common with all three municipalities? The Judge, Municipal Attorney and Mayors are all involved up to their necks. So don’t blame the police or citizens that complain. Who is at fault is who you elected.

Don’t worry the insurance company will pay.

All the building going up in the face of knowing better about it is what troubles. The county has no guidance or management in building. They leave it all up to the jurisdictions and meddle little in county areas. The result is you get a wild west approach to sub-urban planning. I have been in Fairhope since 2001 and over 20 years it is sad to look at what has happened. Anybody in government should be ashamed. East of greeno is a travesty. Shameless politicians have no shame.

    • Granny,
      This is in their plan
The county does not manage development so they can blame it on the towns
      This is the developers’ plan.
On the municipalities side they can claim plausible deniability.
