“A Favor for a Favor” Quid quo pro “Something for Something”
The Fairhope City Council voted 3 to 2, Burrell Boone and Brown to purchase 2.6 million in recreation property. Burrell said that the appraisal was not a purchase and public comment will come up if they decide to purchase land. Instead they voted for the purchase based upon an appraisal with questionable comps., or a plan as to how they were going to pay for it. This was a bold face, documented, lie and the community got bent over, again. Red flags everywhere! “something for something”.
Wake up Fairhope this is how a CATALYST Council rolls. Do not be surprised to see the Council make another attempt at giving away, 102 acres around the triangle, that’s 20 million in city property. When the council sees resistance they back off then they resurrect the issue over and over again until they catch enough people asleep, that it passes.
Councilman Robert Brown is pushing past the Eastern Shore Art Center contract, ignoring requests for documentation, on the ESAC contract, he claims to have. Councilman Brown said he had permission from the Ethics Commission and multiple bids were submitted, he has not provided any documentation to back up his claims.

They will assure the community that they are “down home boys” and all contracts they get are due to their outstanding reputation and that under no circumstances have they used their elected or appointed office as an advantage in getting contracts that personally enrich themselves. Winners will be awarded a large size of KY personal lubricant compliments of the “down home boys”.
If you think this is business as usual and that no Quid quo pro exists and everything is transparent, as well as ethical, then go have lunch with the Cast of Characters and CATALYST Council, prunes are on the menu, don’t forget your KY.
It is game on, for the Fairhope Municipal Elections and the Council is acting like a wrecking ball, voting themselves a raise and full family insurance for their part time job, ignoring the citizens and restricting public participation. They have already been sued for violating constitutional rights and free speech.

I am unclear about the ‘gully’ comments. Who owns the gully and what is being developed there? Sorry that I have forgotten the issue from the last attempt (which I believed was shut down). If anyone has current details, please share. I still don’t believe that either Cliff Pitman or Robert Brown are less than honorable, but I do with that Brown didn’t worship the Burrell Devil.
The city did not want the gulley. The gulley is washing out. FSTC IS paying tax on the gulley.
The proposed project would restore the washout, add a walking trails, and provide lots to build on. If the city will not take it, then why can’t Pittman build on it?
Are you talking about Cliff Pitman of Pitman Brown or Trip Pittman of massive frauds? My understanding was that this is a drainage ditch, but all I know is what I hear at Council meetings or pick up around town……I understood that this gulley was crucial.

To the Anonymous that made the comments about the Gulley project would restore the washout, add walking trails and provide lots to build on, etc! What don’t you put your name on that comment so everyone will know just how inexperienced you are when giving advice about the Gulley or any other project you might open your mouth about that does not need to be developed. The Gulley needs to be left alone for extreme environment reasons. What would y’all do after I caught you both fooling around with EACH other at the Gulley (maybe it was you?). The City owns the gullies which make up out watershed system. FSTC wants to get in the “development” business after over 100 years of preserving land for parks and community enhancement. Screams special interests. Its whole mission is being turned upside down because some of the board members stand to benefit GREATLY from this proposed subdivision. There are no rules or transparency at FSTC.
Cliff Pitman is on the voting board of FSTC and his partner is Councilman Robert Brown. Last time citizens apposed it, Robert (Jester) was trying to tell everyone what a great project it was for the sole purpose of reaping the financial benefits of it being approved. Highly unethical.
The parcel FSTC is trying to develope will most certainly negatively affect this sensitive watershed. It’s against everything FSTC is about. And the only way to make sure they do the right thing is for them to receive serious heat from the community to do the right thing. Restrict its use to a natural state forever.

Yep, Fairhope’s overmedication can be seen whenever you go to any of the drugstores and see the lines at the pharmacy seeing too many healthy and young looking people standing in line for drugs.
They aren’t getting flu shots or blood pressure meds
They are getting opioids, antidepressants, Ritalin, and Xanax. These drugs are “prescribed” by young doctors who need to pay off student loans while at the same time afford trophy wives, BMW’s, and oversized houses. Therefore, these young doctors will write any script to Fairhopians willing to pay or whoever has the medical insurance that will. That is why we have so many drugstores here.
So yes, Fairhope is overnedicated. The result is the Rich bitch, drunken housewife, and whiny kid in rehab effect
