Ripp you said it accurately about the impacts of subdivisions on the roads as well as jurisdictional issues. The County Commission knows this but since they work for developers the Commission still ok’s the development.
The voters in Baldwin County are to blame because they still elect the developers who disguise themselves as Christian Conservatives
Regarding ALL the politicians whether you are running for office or if you already have been elected. Here is a little help with those of you who blatantly throw religion in our faces “you do not have to be overtly about religion to convey a message”. This goes especially to you Byrne and Hightower. Come on?
But Christian Conservatives sell here. It is about who can be more like Trump and be more like Jesus than the other candidates.
Catalyst Polling and their developer money bags tell their candidates to say they are the “Conservative Jesus” because this is like catnip to the electorate down here in South Alabama.
This is a sad commentary on the electorate. Nevermind that these candidates work for the subdivision builders – just remember that they go to church and like Trump.
Hey, I like Trump and go to church – but I don’t use it as a way to get elected.

Mister Ripp…if you caught Fairhope folks rigging elections four years ago, resulting in the election of mayor wilson, does it mean this election coming up is Fairhopes first exercise in real democracy?

lol……..Mayor Wilson was elected after the ballot rigging was stopped when our last election was monitored by either the Secretary of State or the Alabama Attorney General (can’t remember which but Fairhope voters requested that the election be monitored so that Mayor Kant could not be illegally ‘installed’ again. You must be new here to have missed that by a million miles.

First it is “Inquiring” minds..
Second, the election in 2016 was overseen by the Secretary of State and prevented Catalyst form rigging the election.
As Catalyst gets more exposed, watch this group try other shady deals like they already have in shutting down polling places in minority districts in Daphne, and allowing only ONE election booth to poll for district places in Fairhope the last election.
Also, watch Catalyst change its name and “go to ground” now that Stacy is gone, Haygood is running Daphne (in the ground, I might add) and Elliot is off to bigger things.
I am watching the Hightower race. This race will either place Catalyst at the NATIONAL level or provide a stop to Catalyst’s bad ways.
So when mayor kant runs again he will be a catlist?
