A DOCUMENT FOR CATALYST
A police report is a public document, it is not a Ripp Report, it is a police report. The Ripp Report has received several tips involving Mr Jack Burrell and the law. What was alleged was that Mr. Burrell had gotten out of several incidents with the law, by having good connections. They were allegations and I had no evidence to prove other wise. In January of this year it was suggested that I request police report for Jack Burrell in Fairhope. I did so through an attorney in Birmingham.
Those of you new to the Ripp Report may wish to read the link below. You will see where the Airport Authority investigated The Ripp Report and claimed that they had filed an ethics complaint, that had no merit. Your tax dollars paid for Jack Burrellās legal defense. The paid attorneys were successful in scrubbing the ethics complaint, however it seems new eyes are looking at the facts again.

Fairhope is being held hostage by Burrell and his persistent fight for the Airport Authority to maintain control, and hold the title of the Airport. Burrell is the city liaison to the Airport Authority Board as well as City Council President. Fairhope pays for the mortgage yet cannot claim it as an asset. The title to the Airport should be held by the city, Jack we want our Airport back.

Mr Burrell has never disclosed the fact that he has a police record. Just like the Airport, and many other issues, he is lying through his teeth.

The Fairhope City Council was made aware of the police report weeks ago and choose to ignore it.
The council has refused to answer to any accountability, transparency is a black hole and ethics is a fantasy. If you are on the city council in Fairhope then you can act with impunity. Another good example is councilman Robert Brown.

Mr. Jack Burrell should immediately step down from the position of President of the Fairhope City Council, as well as his board position with the Fairhope Airport Authority. These are the actions of a Catalyst mindset, elect Catalyst candidates and you will get more of the same.

An arrest for public intox that was dropped. A harassment report where he was listed as a suspect but not charged. A witness to a juvenile case and an other party on a second juvenile case,, meaning mentioned in the report but not the suspect, victim or a witness. While those are interactions with the police, I wouldnāt call that a police record. If youāve ever filed a report with a law enforcement agency, you would have the equivalent. Been in a car wreck, by that standard, police record. Jack is an anus, but nothing there people. He had no convictions. At least not according to that document.
How many adult men do you know that have two juvenile incidents “sealed” on a police report and hold public office?

It will be interesting to see the next Council Meeting here in Fairhope to see how the Council is going to address the elephant in the room. If the Council does not address this issue, then they all need to go. Conyers you can no longer ride the fence. Take a stand: Either you are for the mayor or you are just a Catalyst in training.
What are they going to discuss? A 13 year-old DISMISSED public intoxication,a harassment aligation, where the “victim” has not press any charges (was probably Rip or Chris) or maybe they can discuss the sealed juvenile cases in which he was a witness and possible witness.
Where is the BIG record? Where is one conviction? What a joke.

What will be interesting to see is if media picks this up. They’re always spinning the truth when it comes to nonissues with the mayor but never seem to blink an eye when legitimate newsworthy issues come up.
Where is the article on ethics concern wirh Brown getting the contract for the art center? Will there be anything that comes of Burrell police report? I doubt it.

Know what I found interesting? As I listened to Lorie DeBiasā interview with the Chief, he broke the news that he was retiring. His words were very revealing.
Lorie asked him if he had actually talked to Mayor Wilson and let her know he was retiring. He told Lorie – no- but went on to say he had told Tim and the council members, and that Tim and the council members understood his decision. REALLY????
That shows right there his insubordination, disregard for the office, regardless of who was elected.
It shows me that even to the end, the Chief was undermining her authority and was very passive aggressive in doing so.
She even brought it up that dramatic night that no one attempted to communicate with her. They do not want to.
If you avoid giving someone the information they need to make improvements to a department, or buck the changes implemented by your superior; you are causing conflicts.
I also think that deep down the Chief knows that his participation in that last farce was wrong on many levels. He was used. He was planning on retiring anyway. Timās Little gang of misfits found themselves someone easy to manipulate and use as their poster boy. And they did!
Back to that interview with Lorie DeBias, I started laughing. Wish I could take his deposition, I could punch holes through his original story of ā Iāve been harassed and mistreatedā. It seems that a group was involved in harrassing the Mayor and are intent to continue it.
The Chief still does not realize that TIM IS NO LONGER THE MAYOR and he does NOT report to him or anyone on that council.
And, that my friends was the problem and his downfall! And, it was the downfall of the cheerleaders standing behind him that night!
They all went down due to their own demise. You see, some folks just like drama and the gossip mill. Apparently it was more fun to run and tell Tim the inside scoop that just doing their job. None of them realize that Tim was no longer in charge, and they just couldnāt get over it. Kind of like Hillary. Maybe Tim and Hillary could hold hands and go for a walk in the woods.
If you work for government, you have to understand that the politics are a fact of life and the person who wins the election has EVERY LEGAL right to hire and fire, and choose those that he or she wishes to represent the platform on which he or she ran.
This group has shown us every step of the way that they behaved poorly when this women took office. They played games with her, goaded her, undermined her authority, tried to embarrass her, and continued to report to Tim as if he were Mayor. They should have accepted and tried to work with her. After all, until they showed their true agenda, she was willing to keep them all, even when she had no obligation to do so.
One of Mayor Wilsonās issues was transparency and ending the corruption. Apparently, they didnāt want her in their playhouse.
And after listening carefully today, I was convinced more than ever that these folks are a huge part of the stain that is now on our City. All of them from the GCN reporter, the radio lady with the deep voice, the Council and department heads. While they may not like Mayor Wilson, they should respect the majority who voted Tim out and her in.
If you listen long enough, the truth does eventually come out.

Just like Chief Joe- he couldnāt call the Mayot on her cell phone to let her know of his decision? – but he DID let Tim and other council members know.
He said that in his interview with the radio lady! THERE WAS HIS PROBLEM SUMMED UP IN ONE TINY SENTENCE! He did not want to communicate with anyone but what was in the past.
And Chief knows deep in his heart that he was used as their āposter boyā for being a victim of that mean, mean Mayor. He had planned to retire anyway- that show was just a stepping stone.

Poor Chief. He himself and a lot of people thought he was a pretty good person with some respect. What they did to him and how he let Jack and the cheerleaders parade around him I will never understand. I just know that I feel some pity for him but I never thought he was such a stupid person that retired with little or no respect at all. Iāve shook him with many of times. Didnāt know that he was just sorryass Cheif that hopefully showed the rest of the Faihope Police force just how not to retire as just an old pathetic man with nothing to show for except being a fool for Jack and the Kackasses.

I reported the information I received to the Police to Investigate. Current info is that it was his son’s party at the in laws house. Jack did not mention this in his interview with WACO radio.We asked the Mayor Council and police to make a public statement. Confirmation by Burrell has yet to come?
