Two-For Tuesday: Fairhope's Two-Hat Turner

Dear everyone, The official primary results from June 3, 2014 will not be available till Friday. However it appears that the power structure prescribed by Lynn Stacy is alive and well. The county commission is going to have little change. This will empower the commissioners to do what they wish as there is no relevant media coverage. One of their ambitions is to bring like-minded municipalities of Baldwin County into their group; such as Orange Beach, Gulf Shores and Fairhope—all three communities' mayors endorsed and pushed the candidates currently in office.

Exposing Jasper "Tucker" Dorsey and the Sicko Six...VOTE ON TUESDAY, JUNE 3, 2014 Jasper Dorsey is a micromanager. Spotted at the County Dump (Magnolia Landfill) in camouflage with binoculars spying on county employees, Dorsey ultimately took away their porn books, which they are still upset about. Jasper is also a Lynn Stacey "chosen one" and is running not only for county commissioner, but also for the State Republican Executive Committee—simultaneously. Let's not forget folks, how the chain of command goes:

How Stupid Are We in Baldwin County?

Senator Lee "Trip" Pittman via email, is endorsing his longtime business partner (in crime) Bob James, as county commissioner. Bob James and Senator Pittman have been annually passing back and forth the Fairhope Emergency Debris Removal contract since 2007. Currently, Senator Pittman has the contract, which has been extended to July 11, 2014, the contract bid deadline in Fairhope. All eyes will be on this contract, but do not be surprised if Bob or Slippery Trip end up once again as the low bidder on the job. Please remember—these two are both elected officials. Alabama ethics laws "preclude an elected official from using their office for personal financial gain."

Two Independent Women Challenge the Machine

Dear Baldwin County Voters, Most citizens know corruption is rampant in our community. Our local councils, the County Commission and certain judgeships, are represented by dubious individuals. We appear concerned about our schools and the threat of crime. However, we ignore and have come to accept, political corruption at every level. In reality, political corruption costs us more in taxpayer dollars lost than all property crimes combined. We have become so apathetic and careless that the only time we speak of corruption to our neighbors is over a drink, in the gym, or watching the kid's soccer game. As long as this continues, the political corruption will continue; and our quality of life will continue to suffer. We cannot relinquish our constitutional right to vote people in and out of office. Because of hyper-partisanship, there is little crossover voting. However, more independents are challenging incumbents than ever before. We first and foremost must prevent incumbents from running uncontested for re-election.
