Letter to Ian Smith - VA Claims and Benefits

Feb. 19, 2015 Ref. claims and benefits Committee on Veterans Affairs Dear Ian Smith: Thank you for seeing me, unannounced, on Jan 5, in Washington. I gave you a letter explaining my VA case and you patiently listened to my explanation and frustration. My situation, claim, is the same as thousands of others, and sadly many more thousands of veterans who have given up. May I remind you that my claim of "clear and unmistakable error" filed August 1 2007, dates back to my first claim in 1969. Baldwin County Legal Eagle Update

Attention Court of Public Opinion: The Eagle has been a bit silent lately on Judge Thomason and Part-time Judge Bracken and buddy's buddy Steven Johnson. The Eagle filed complaints with the Alabama Ethics Commission and the Alabama judiciary who have responded. These complaints centered on Judge Thomason. What they did not do was investigate the allegations, no investigation what so ever.

Fly Creek Becomes Developer's Drainage Ditch

Fly Creek becomes developer's drainage ditch, with Mayor Kant's approval. I really had not planned to write anything negative during Christmas holidays; however Fairhope's Mayor Tim Kant is using the Christmas holidays as an opportunity to deceive the citizens of Fairhope. In an effort to eliminate public participation and use the holidays to limit any notice to the public, Mayor Kant is using his control of planning and zoning to slip in a change of zoning for the Fly Creek PUD, the Publix property.

Comprehensive Plan Charade

Municipal leaders repeatedly ignored Fairhope's official master plan to grant illegal favors to political campaign contributors. Planning records reveal a systematic pattern of bypassing public hearings to push through environmentally destructive commercial projects. What good is a master plan when city officials throw it in the trash for their friends?
