The allegations, deaths and incarceration of an innocent man, combined with the ultimate power of the Sheriff, should be the concern of every citizen in Baldwin County. This is not bashing police. This is pointing out serious existing and reoccurring situations that are resulting in major lawsuits where the taxpayer will be the loser.

Alabama faces accusations of corruption, particularly concerning the head of the Ethics Commission who remains in his position despite legal issues. The lawsuit against him raises concerns about a potential cover-up and lack of accountability within the state’s legal system.

That’s how long Murray Bubba Lawrence has been in jail for a crime he did not commit. Baldwin County Sheriff Hoss Mack, the Prosecutor, David Whetstone and the Judge, currently the District Attorney, Robert Wilters are responsible. There is every reason to believe that they conspired to withhold vital information from the defense that resulted in an innocent man spending 7432 days, so far, in jail.

Murray “Bubba” Lawrence Jr was convicted of the murder of Brandon Hastings who disappeared from Foley, Alabama during Spring Break of 2003 and whose body was found a week later near Guitier/Vancleave, Mississippi. The State convicted Lawrence on the word of a co-conspirator, a “Deal With The Devil” according to David Whetstone Baldwin County District Attorney circa 2003.
