How Stupid Are We in Baldwin County?

How Stupid Are We in Baldwin County?
05.30.2014

Senator Lee “Trip” Pittman via email, is endorsing his longtime business partner (in crime) Bob James, as county commissioner. Bob James and Senator Pittman have been annually passing back and forth the Fairhope Emergency Debris Removal contract since 2007. Currently, Senator Pittman has the contract, which has been extended to July 11, 2014, the contract bid deadline in Fairhope.

All eyes will be on this contract, but do not be surprised if Bob or Slippery Trip end up once again as the low bidder on the job. Please remember—these two are both elected officials. Alabama ethics laws “preclude an elected official from using their office for personal financial gain.”

Fairhope Courier, August 11, 2010, Mike Odom. “Commissioner’s-Elect Company Awarded Million Dollar Contract.” (The following information is gleaned from this and other known sources).

Just after the BP Boom Grant Scandal involving Senator Pittman, Bob James, Tucker Dorsey and Frank Burt, the latter three fired trusted county employees Leigh Ann Ryals, Michael Thompson and Scott Barnett. Now, Bob James brags and wants to take credit for getting rid of good employees and the existing county legal firm and hiring a new one. Good Ole’ Bob says “promises made…promises kept…”

Bullsh*t!

Bob James said he would only run for one term.

Bullcr*p!

He is running for a second.

Another interesting fact is that whether Pittman has the debris removal contract, or James, they conveniently list each other as available sub-contractors; inevitably sharing in the proceeds.

In addition to the lucrative debris removal contracts through Public Works, Senator Pittman has enjoyed through the last Fairhope City Council a three year lease on heavy equipment (wheel loader) for Public Works (Jennifer Fidler Scroggins). The BP Boom scandal also strangely occurred with the aid of the Fairhope Public Works Department. The project documents of record show “for Public Works.”

On Senator Pittman’s April 1, 2014 expenses listed with the Alabama Secretary of State’s Office, he recorded a $4,550 expenditure with R&R Billboards, Reagan Scroggins principal (husband of Jennifer Fidler) for Advertising. The entire time Senator Pittman has been in office he has received contract after contract as an elected official. He and his business partner Bob James are looking straight into the camera and lying to you. All of the facts that I have stated here are supported by FOIA requested documents from the City of Fairhope and fulfilled by the City Clerk. In closing, let me remind you again that there has been a grand jury, there are ongoing investigations, and unfortunately, they take years before we seen the end results. We, the citizens of Baldwin County, need be rid of both of these elected officials. Vote against them in the coming elections.

And let’s not forget ladies and gentlemen, the Alabama Accountability Act—the Trip Pittman-sponsored legislation that removed funding from struggling urban schools and gave it to a Bob Riley-owned company that gets a cut of each voucher granted…was found unconstitutional this week. You can be sure that the recently-passed legislation controlling and limiting Baldwin County candidates for Sheriff—is equally unconstitutional. Senator Pittman admitted that it is likely unconstitutional, but did it anyway to support the sheriff, “Hoss” Mack.

Please, if you consider yourself an intelligent person with a conscience, read the documents, read the articles on the Internet that have been written, and do not believe the political b.s. that you are being fed by the machine.

It simply defies the facts.

But then again, Just How Stupid are we in Baldwin County?
