ALABAMA FAKE ETHICS COMMISSION
Absolutely the most rotten political figure in Alabama politics is the Alabama Ethics Director Tom Albritton. After 4 years of litigation and hundreds of thousands lost in court actions, Albritton escapes any criminal charges. If you, the voter were to do the same thing, you can bet the Ethics Commission would recommend criminal charges.
TOM ALBRITTON SHOULD BE FIRED AND NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE ANY STANDING IN THE ALABAMA ETHICS COMMISSION. HIS ACTIONS HAS DEPRIVED MANY DESERVING CHILDREN SCHOLARSHIPS.
“McNees, and Thomas Albritton, will be absolved and held harmless from all liability, known or later discovered, that resulted from, or arose out of, their administration of the Trust from the date of its inception in 2002 to the date of the Final Order.”
Why was Albritton absolved, held harmless from liability? Because Alabama is the most politically corrupt state in the United States.
“Carmack, Manning and Lindsey have proposed the defendants — Regions, Albritton, Bell and Drew McNeese, who replaced Bell as Regions’ representative in 2020 — would be responsible for paying $1.325 million back to the fund. That would make the fund whole for money they say was improperly distributed to both people and to institutions, and also accounts for the fees they believe Regions overcharged the fund. It does not delineate how the payback would break down among defendants. Additionally, those defendants would be on the hook for $300,000 in attorneys fees for the plaintiffs. Regions would be allowed to remain as trustees if it adjusted its fee calculations.”
“Petitioners believe that the judge’s decision was fair and equitable. Settlements always involve compromises, and the judge did his best to balance the equities of the various positions by the parties,” Byron Mathews, an attorney representing Tyra Lindsey, told 1819 News on Thursday. “This litigation needs to end, and the Trust returns to its normal administration. We hope that Regions Bank and the other fiduciaries agree.”

Litigation costs incurred by the parties and the expending of judicial resources have been extensive. Finally, the cost to the Trust for the work performed by the Special Fiduciary, although necessary and reasonable, has drained the Trust of such assets that could have been used to award scholarships to deserving students within the State. Mr. Albritton is the classic case of a sociopath. He argues for no changes in the Alabama Ethics Commission while he is the biggest offender. The details of Mr Albrittons abuse of the trust is shameful and it is obvious, by the evidence available, that he, and his friends, personally benefited from his UNETHICAL handling of the trust. He should be fired immediately, face criminal charges, disbarred and exposed for the FAKE he is.
