ALABAMA ETHICS VS TONY KENNON

Three members of the City of Orange Beach council have filed a formal ethics complaint against Mayor Tony Kennon, alleging conflicts of interest, improper influence over council decisions, threats directed toward elected officials, and failures related to transparency and disclosure of information.
Mayor Tony Kennon has long been a polarizing figure in Orange Beach, Alabama. As his administration faces mounting scrutiny, a growing number of allegations have drawn attention to Kennon’s conduct both in and out of office. These range from ethical concerns and financial conflicts to disturbing accusations of violence and discrimination.
Ethics commission is corrupt.
Filing an ethics complaint in Alabama is a joke. Don’t count on Kennon facing any music from the ethics commission. I am sure Tony knows the Director Tom Albritton who is more crooked than a snake on hot asphalt. Albritton is worse than Kennon.
Stealing from children is almost always a criminal act and can involve serious legal consequences. If you suspect someone is stealing from children, it is critical to report it to the proper authorities.
What would you call a man who is entrusted with children’s school scholarships and he uses that trust to rob their ability of a school scholarship?
What if that man was a politician and other politicians were involved?
What would you think if that man was an attorney and the Alabama Ethics Director?
The Alabama Bar did nothing. The Attorney General tried to whitewash the Albritton complaint. Poison Ivy did nothing because she has Biden Syndrome.
The Lagniappe broke the story almost 5 years ago. The Ripp Report represented by Attorney Harry Still filed a writ of Mandamus, an Alabama Bar Complaint, A complaint to the Attorney General and a direct Ethics Complaint, all were ignored or dismissed. So the Ripp Report started using the court of public opinion.
“I hope this case is a cautionary tale to all lawyers and other individuals who create charitable trusts and nonprofit corporations with an eye toward self-enrichment and self-aggrandizement. I am sad to say this happens far too often,” Attorney Byron B Mathews.
The courts caught up with Mr Albritton and he was forced out of his position as trustee of Mabel Amos Memorial Fund. If this case was not embarrassing enough wrap you head around this: Three members of the Ethics Commission Greg Pappas, George Pierce and David “chips” Pruet, “Had no idea Albritton” the Ethics Director, “had been involved in the ongoing litigation or had been accused of self-dealing”. WTF
Now they are aware as well as the whole state. Tom Albritton should be fired immediately or will our politicians continue to hide under rocks?
The Attorney General, Ethics Commission and the Alabama Bar all wear the same dirty underwear. They protect one another, and politicians, from pesky political complaints and play a legal shuffle that results in whitewashing their culpability. It is perfectly clear that the Attorney General will always side with the Bar or Ethics. The Bar and Ethics depend on the Attorney General to cover their back.
You, the Attorney general, have publicly stated Mr. Albritton committed fraud and self-served himself from the trust. You then moved forward with a lawsuit. That has resulted in Allen Dodd being appointed Deputy Alabama Attorney general. In addition, attorney Mr Tommy Gallion is representing Megan Carmack, a family member of Mabel Amos trust. Attorney Mr Bryon Mathews is representing Tyra Lindsey, a 10th grade student of Hillcrest High School in Evergreen, a possible recipient of the trust that was never given the opportunity to apply due to trustees keeping the trust out of the public’s eye. Ashby Pate is representing Mr. Albritton and Mr. Clifton who are alleged to have filed insurance claims to cover their attorney costs, which would not surprise anyone.
Albritton is caught, booted off the trust, but he wants to keep the 120,000.00 and has the gall to hire an attorney to NOT pay back the money and have his legal fees covered. Not one politician has called for his removal from office. He is allowed to remain in office while being paid by taxpayers over 100.000,00 a year. and judge others about their ethics. Alabama is a corrupt state.
*Federal Probe and Political Fallout While some believe the investigation has quietly concluded, a cloud still hangs over the Attorney General’s Office, the Ethics Commission, and Regions Bank. A confidential source close to the situation within the State Government told ALPolitics.com that a federal probe continues and quietly complicates Steve Marshall’s political future, particularly his potential run for the U.S. Senate. It also complicates other potential candidates for office within the AG’s Office, such as Katherine Robertson, Chief Counsel, who may run for Attorney General.
Katherine Robertson took a major step toward becoming Alabama’s next attorney general on Tuesday, defeating Jay Mitchell in the runoff for the Republican nomination. During the campaign the ethics commission director and his fleecing of the Mabel Amos Trust never was debated. Go figure.
This case is why Alabama is the most corrupt state in the United States. The Governor, Attorney General, Alabama Bar and Ethic commission members all hid their heads in the sand. Let’s hope the FEDS do their job.
This will give you an idea how corrupt Alabama is and Tony Kennon has been around long enough to know how to avoid a pesky ethics complaint.
Big Earl may have a whole new comedy act!
