Only 17% of the registered voters in the state, voted in the senate primary. Fairhope had only 14% vote.
Alabama Senate special election results: Who will succeed Jeff Sessions?
Voting results from the special election primary to determine who will vie for Jeff Sessions’s Senate seat.
What are we left with, Luther Strange who as our leading law enforcement officer allowed the Luv Gov. to walk in exchange for Jeff Sessions seat. Mr Strange, as Attorney General also allowed Sen. Pittman to walk with 750,000 dollars of BP money and never mentioned the anchors he left in the Bay, while others were prosecuted for far less BP crimes. Strange as it may seem big Luther now faces multiple ethics complaints.
Then we have Roy Moore the states supreme court justice who was thrown off the bench for breaking the law, TWICE. The only state in the United States that can make that claim. What do you think congress and the US Senate is going to think when they find out Alabama has the potential of sending a twice dis barred supreme court justice to join them in the swamp?
Let’s not forget the conviction of the Alabama speaker of the house.
Alabama House Speaker Mike Hubbard convicted on 12 counts
Hubbard faces up to 20 years in prison for each ethics count.
What about the recent revelations of the Alabama Ethics Commission,
Alabama Ethics Commission revelations go ‘Boom!’
“They haven’t been corrupted by it. They’re a part of it.”
The above should concern you as citizens of the state because their actions, and ours for not voting, have firmly secured Alabama as number one in political corruption.
You will have to hold your nose when you vote in December for the US Senate seat, or you can stop looking left and right and screaming conservative and liberal. Start looking at what is best for the state and it’s citizens and use your brain instead of the straight ticket voting that you have been sold on by the very politicians we need to rid ourselves of.
Baldwin County provides almost 35% of Alabama’s income and is the fastest growing county in Alabama. The County Commission should be replaced by fresh faces and the existing commissioners shown the door. Sen. Pittman’s seat is also open and desperately needs to be filled by a candidate that represents the district and not his personal business.
So if you wonder why Alabama is number one in corruption, 46th in education and the least desirable state to live in, LOOK IN THE MIRROR.
CNBC Labels Alabama as the Worst State to Live
While states like Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky also made the losers list, according to the article, no state was worse than Alabama.
Neither Roy Moore nor Luther Strange will get my vote! I usually don’t vote Democratic but I will this time. We deserve what we get in Alabama with voting these creeps into office . 17% Voted Tuesday in Alabama? We deserve what we get!!! No wonder we have a bad name! People in Alabama… just how busy are you that you cannot take time to vote?? CREEPS!!!
Well at least you don’t have to worry about voting for the worst politician ever. Christian my butt? At least Trip Pittman is O U T Out!!!!!!
After verifying with the Baldwin County Probate election of record for votes cast in the Republican US Senate race the results are as follows: Baldwin CO.
Luther Strange 32%
Roy Moore 30%
Trip Pittman 22%
Mo Brooks 14 %
Trip Pittman would not have made the run off even if just BaldCounty Voted. Damn Shame. But maybe the few that voted for him will finally realize what a terrible person he is. Boom boom Tripp Pittman or should I say 7% statewide Trip Pittman. Other equipment companies (heavy, middle Tractors, etc) get ready. The bids are going to start having some of your names on it. Especially those that Pittman Tractor Company has been getting even when a lot of the bid says no one and Pittman Tractor gets them!!!
Too drunk to care. Baldwin county has the worst drunk drivers in Alabama.
Yep. Just ask County Commissioner Chis DUI Elliot!
14 percent of fairhope. Where 86 percent crap in the bay. Turdville usa.
Great article; however, it is heartbreaking how willfully stupid Alabama voters are. I applaud your efforts to expose the corruption. I have made negative comments about Wilson’s advisors and I stand behind them; however, I understand why you are protective of Mayor Wilson. This is the first ‘light of day’ that Fairhope has seen in decades. Is there a possibility of an audit as to the dollars spent on the ‘sewer system’, the massive failure of which was ‘unavoidable’ according to the City Council President, Jack Burrell? On what continent, are sewer system failures unavoidable? I would very much like to know where every dollar of the 13 million went! I am a semi-retired accountant and would be happy to work with anyone to get to the bottom of these dollars.
Fairhope is fabulous but was taken to the brink of destruction by the Burrell fools.
I think that our Mayor is finally getting some traction since the ‘unavoidable’ sewage spills. Those who were trying to destroy her must be hating this week because she has been proven right on everything! Go, Karin Wilson!
And, I must add, even those who hate Wilson are happy that Pittman and Burrell are on the way out!
Sorry, I mis-typed. Those who hate Wilson are devastated that Pittman lost (& Burrell has lost all credibility)…….sorry for mistake! Wine on Main Street!
Georgia you had one more mid type. You said “Jack Burrell has lost all credibility.” That SO$ has never had any credibility in the first place!!!!
Your comment makes RIPPS point shame on the person in the mirror.
Burby was elected twice. Shame Shame Shame
Well you can stay in bed with Burrell. I’m sure he’s good to you. Can’t say that makes you credible
Burrell stands to lose more than credibility or any future election.
When I hear “i just love fairhope it’s so quaint” i want to barf. I did a little recon and went to the pier this week. To my dismay I found human feces visible on the shores and floating in the shallow coca cola colored waters. Burrell said after 13 million in his pocket that it was unavoidable. Sorta like the clap huh Jack?
17 percent? Time to hitch the wagon. Alabama is pretty much hopeless. 50th.
