1) How is the Fairhope Airport beneficial to the City of Fairhope at a cost of $9 million and $400k annually?
2) Should the City have accepted the gift of Fly Creek Wetlands from a developer?
3) Should there be an auditing of the Soccer Fields ($6 million)?
4) Should there be an auditing of the $13 million “maintenance expenditure” on the old sewerage plant?

Airport a joke – hope something is done about the fraud/scams/illegal activity there. #2 – the “Gift” of the wetlands from Corte shows what a “shady character” he is & CANNOT be trusted – – another activity that happened ON Corte property was the death of the young girl several years ago that was Swept under the rug – this needs to be reopened & re investigated. I do NOT care WHO plays cards with the Cortes on their property each week.
# 3 – YES an audit needs to be done ASAP!!!
#4 – YES an audit needs to be done & not the regular auditors that normally does the City accounting!!! What is the problem is they are all in cahoots together from the City’s Insurance carrier – who is located next door on up & down!
And I hope to God something is actually fixing to break & get this mess totally out in the public!!

The death of the girl on Corte property was quickly ruled as suicide. Was it a suicide?? The small house on Corte property where the “suicide ” took place is now gone??? Was in torn down ??? The chief of police at the time the “suicide” took place was Bill Press who use to go ride horses on the Corte property. Friendly with the Cortes?! You bet!! So was the death of the young woman fully investigated or brushed over by friendship?

What about investigating the Mayor? May have defrauded the Grand Hotel for almost 10 years. Her Lakewood membership listed her twin sister’s husband Mike Lyons as her husband. Mayor and her twin sister used the same account without paying two initiation fees and two monthly dues for almost ten years. That equals thousands of dollars taken from our largest local business. She lacks character, morals and ethics and needs to go.
Do you have proof of this? How did Mike Lyons’ membership explain two wives? Upon seeing her recent actions as Mayor, I don’t doubt that this is true but is there any proof to publish. I hope that Lakewood sues her for the membership fee (which I think is $15,000 for pool & tennis) and the past dues). Or did she just pretend to be her sister when she was there and didn’t truly have a membership in her own name (still fraud)?
I believe this, if you look at her facebook page there is a political photo from the mayor’s conference, she posted that picture she citizens will back her going to the conference. I would like to know why the mayor had the spyware removed if it was so important in the first place? If has been removed then why did she waste our money? This mayor is so fake it is not funny.
The mayor also uses the electricity from her bookstore for her residence so she can deduct the bill as a business deduction. Fraud!

There are two things the mayor of Fairhope, Alabama, and Gary, Indiana have in common – they share the same last name, Wilson, and they want to stop growth. In 1970, Gary, Indiana had 175,000 population, the 2016 population is 76,000 (est). Queen Wilson will have Fairhope’s population gone if she stays in office.
Funny you should mention GARY IND just happened to know the historical reasons for the decline in population.

I think that Wilson truly wants the best for Fairhope but she has too many loser friends who depend upon her for their paychecks. The submission she needs to get a plan for Fairhope, stop talking and get something done. She is big on ideas and low on performance! Get a plan in place for Fairhope mayor!
Lyons was listed as her husband. He had an ID as Wilsons husband but did not have a separate account. Her twin walks in with mayor’s ID or with Lyons and his ID. Only need one ID. Only works if you are a twin and dishonest.

And the official member is Karin with Mike listed as “spouse”.

This would not be an IRS issue…….Lakewood can sue her criminally and/or swear out a warrant against the Lyons family and the Mayor. I find it difficult to see Mike Lyons as a criminal……what a nice and sweet guy. I am relatively new here and he has always been so helpful with framing/shipping, etc. Please leave him out of this criminally.

According to posts here, Mike Lyons does not have a separate membership; rather, the Mayor listed him as her husband so that he would have a membership card. This way, the Mayor can go and take her own husband or Mike Lyons can go and take his wife. Not bad if you can get away with it!
While we are checking with the Grand Hotel, I think we need to see how much back rent the Mayor owes us (the citizens) for renting the sidewalks outside of her bookstore and her bar? Fire hazard also!
I totally agree the mayor needs to rent the sidewalks instead of using them like she does. Are there others business that does this? Oh wait, she is the queen!
Broken Egg Cafe, the Local and most of the clothing stores in town also use the sidewalks outside their front doors.
You are right, they do use the sidewalks and when you are trying to walk you have to stop to let others walk by you or you have to walk in the street. They all should be charged for the usage. Also, the Broken Egg Cafe has NICE tables and chairs and not plastic, those plastic chairs and tables should all be metal.
What would happen if everyone used the sidewalks like that? Then there would not be usable sidewalks, there needs to be a city ordinance to forbids this or pay the city.
I actually had someone bump into my leg pushing a stroller by the bookstore because there was no room to walk. It left a massive bruise, it hurt like hell, the couple apologized but it could be avoided.

Well folks, when is the mayor going to sue the city and council? She stated that if the council didn’t pay the $15,000 so she could have her own attorney she would take it to circuit court. The council voted NO, as they should have and now it is the mayor’s move! She is stupid, will she sue all of us or do home?

I have heard a lot of people who, like me, voted for Karin, and have been so disgusted with her inexplicable actions since her election. I have always said to everyone to please have a friend or family member sit down with her and try to explain what a nightmare she has created; everyone has always come back and said that she will not listen to anyone at all……..not her sister, husband, brother-in-law…….she only listens to the high school grads on her payroll. I feel so sorry for her family. Mike Lyons did not deserve this……

If you preview her Facebook page and notice the new picture, it has been touched up to hide the aging process, she is a narcissist. I have spoken to a lot of people that voted for her, and with few exception, all said she is an embarrassment to Fairhope. The way she dresses, she came to the VFW on Memorial Day dress like she did. The way she showed up proved she has no respect for the military. She needs to dress her age! Stop acting like a baby girl!
