DOG AND PONY SHOW | THE RIPP REPORT / BALDWIN COUNTY LEGAL EAGLE

Get ready Fairhope! The Catalyst Council has called a special meeting at a special time, that they hope is inconvenient for everyone. Today at 3:30, I have to agree that is an excellent time…

Jack uses “special meetings” to eliminate public participation and by passing council meetings. Monday night is a council meeting however Jack did not want any public input.

Fairhope Special Meeting

Fairhope Special Meeting | THE RIPP REPORT / BALDWIN COUNTY LEGAL EAGLE

Jack Burrell is calling a special meeting on Friday the 29th at 8:00 am. This is Jack’s way of covering his ass with his hand picked attorney. For years the city has talked about a full time city…

Today’s “special” meeting, May 10 @ 3;30, was a true dog and pony show. Capt. Jack of course commanded the meeting with his typical bulling style. Jack wants to be Mayor and he says he needs to have all the finance people close to each other so he can find them.

CAPTAIN JACK

CAPTAIN JACK | THE RIPP REPORT / BALDWIN COUNTY LEGAL EAGLE

Fairhope Airport Authority recently held a special meeting, Jan 8th to discuss a “notice of availability”. The notice covers many issues and the final draft, particularly the issue of leases…

Jack Burrell should be the very last one to trust with any type of accounting. He claims to be working as an engineer but cannot prove it. He never has explained HIS police report.

POLICE REPORT

POLICE REPORT | THE RIPP REPORT / BALDWIN COUNTY LEGAL EAGLE

A DOCUMENT FOR CATALYST A police report is a public document, it is not a Ripp Report, it is a police report. The Ripp Report has received several tips involving Mr Jack Burrell and the law.

Please remember it was Jack Burrell and Kevin Boone who approved the Fly Creek Apartments and accepted the “gift” from the developer.

RE-GIFT GIFT ??

RE-GIFT GIFT ?? | THE RIPP REPORT / BALDWIN COUNTY LEGAL EAGLE

ATTENTION FAIRHOPE TAXPAYERS FW: Fly Creek PUD Amendment & the Deed to the City of the Most Sensitive 4 Acres Mitsy, “email to all council members and Mayor Wilson would greatly benefit the City.

Let’s not forget the raiding of the utility fund as a slush fund, it cost us 3 million for the triangle lawsuit from utilities. Jack and Kevin want you to believe the 11.25 million dollar legal settlement was actually a purchase for a “park” which is an outright lie.

The council has not delivered one city budget on time.

They failed with K-1

This council has not accomplished one significant issue in 3 years, except to follow Jack like puppies.

Jack Burrell has been Council President for 7 years, not one other council person has been President.

They are followers and all need to be replaced. Fairhope needs public servants and fresh candidates for the council in 2020.

This is about micro managing city employees and the 2020 election. Fairhope better wake up CATALYST has plans to steal Fairhope. It is a CATALYST City Council and they all have dirty hands.

DIRTY HANDS

DIRTY HANDS | THE RIPP REPORT / BALDWIN COUNTY LEGAL EAGLE

When it comes to dirty hands, Baldwin County cannot be beat. Our new State Senator the TAX MAN, Elliott, hands are as dirty as they can get. The lottery and taxes Elliott supports does nothing for…

Got to hand it to Jack, he is calculating and smart. I can see why Boone follows him, but the other council members are in his pocket and are OWNED by him.

So if Burrell ain’t an engineer what is he?

    • Anonymous | May 11, 2019 at 6:29 pm |

A councilman- and a smart one at that

      • A pedophile?

      • Anonymous | May 12, 2019 at 1:55 am |

A councilman and a quarter will get you a cup of coffee. Jack will be vetted (all questions will have to be answered) beyond his wildest dreams when he runs for office. I really don’t think he is that stupid. He cannot afford to run for anything else than the terrible Faihope City Council which is a joke. So Jack? I bet anyone that he ends up shutting his mouth real soon and then it will be up to us to vote him out of the Coincil .

Trailers at the school yards have made closing tougher this week. Any word on new school constructions or at least brick and mortar adittions?

  4. Old Fairhope | May 12, 2019 at 7:50 pm |

I blame the county commission and the school board. Trailers are a reality, painful albeit, but necessary. Growth is here to stay. Trailers are air conditioning and internet. All you need to hold class. If you have church in a tent God still hears the good word.

    • Anonymous | May 13, 2019 at 10:55 pm |

Why should we have to settle for trailer classrooms? I say stop the over building until we can catch up. But no, you Catalysts want to build the subdivisions now so you can make your cash and let us deal with the infrastructure later

    • Devil in the Details | May 14, 2019 at 11:59 am |

We aren’t talking about s tent church and God. We are taking about the Devil who is being allowed to corrupt this area through a commission and city councils who are owned by greedy interests.

  5. EaglescoutMom | May 13, 2019 at 11:06 am |

I didn’t move here for trailer park schools.

    • Anonymous | May 14, 2019 at 6:53 am |

You may have not moved here for the trainer park schools but if you are one of the many who recently moved here then you are the cause of the trailer park schools.

No. They are not. Alabama is not a country. If it were, judging by the stats, you’d be in a third world impoverished country. American citizens are free to move about their country. Growth is not the problem. That’s inevitable. That’s America. The problem is the lack of any long term, or even short term vision for planning. It’s like blaming the Mexicans for coming for jobs while ignoring the white people who employ them. So the problem continues. Building a wall won’t change that. Put your glasses on, maybe you’ll see what’s 5 feet in front of you and learn something. Maybe then you would see it’s the elected officials who are in the best position to solve these problems. And their current solution is short term monetary gain for a few of their friends. That’s the problem.

        • Anonymous | May 14, 2019 at 2:50 pm |

I predict you’ll keep those glasses off. You’ll keep complaining that it’s the new residents that are the cause. You’ll believe anything that your buddies in the council preach. Maybe your income is dependent on the construction? That attitude of long-time locals first allows them to favor old time friends with established businesses and council ties regardless of the damage you cause. Judging by the local school rankings, maybe it’s the lack of a decent education of the long time locals that causes this situation. Chances are, according to the stats, those moving here come from better schools than Fairhope Trailer Highschool in Fairhope and perhaps that’s why they understand the truth of the situation. Maybe, just maybe, the long time locals are the problem?? Living where you grew up with, keeping your close-minded xenophobic views is not something to celebrate. It’s the thing that happens by default. What boring people do. Fairhope is growing because of good jobs in Mobile. They aren’t giving those jobs away to people without a decent education. Chances are, they understand this better than you.

So if you are saying that Alabama is a third world country, then why did you move here to the “third world?” I know why. It is because the place that you came from was not as great as you would like us to think. Places up north and on the west coast are dumps today with their high taxes, crime, and crowded places. Now you want to come here and turn us into the places from which you fled.
No thanks, I will keep living in my “third world” and maybe we can get the “Enlightened People” from up north to return and perhaps fix the mess they caused.

          • Anonymous | May 14, 2019 at 7:35 pm |

I said Alabama would be a third world country. But it’s not a third world thanks to the support and trade of other regions of the country. I’m just going off the stats. I have no problem living here. Despite what you think, all residents here have the right to be concerned and push for change. I’m not just talking about the north. I’m talking about the 48 states that rank higher than Alabama in high school rankings.

            • Anonymous | May 14, 2019 at 7:37 pm |

I prefer the term “People with a basic education” to “Enlightened People.” But call it what you want to call it.

            • Linus Washington | May 15, 2019 at 4:46 am |

Alabama is 50th in public education.

    • Anonymous | May 14, 2019 at 11:54 am |

Tell it your real estate agent who sold you “Paradise.” How did your overpaying for a cheap house in a thrown together subdivision given a storybook name and a property owners’ association work for you?
Ask those in Belaton who got duped into paying for a pool how they are doing.

    • Anonymous | May 14, 2019 at 11:56 am |

Then move back to where you came from and take some of these newly arrived people with you, please.

  6. Trailer parks are fine.
Ask Rosa. She did fine…no portables at Bayside…ante up boys and girlz.

  7. Can we hold a bake sale to get rid of the trailers? What about getting rid of the council?

    • Anonymous | May 14, 2019 at 9:17 pm |

Most of the members of the council are outsiders that came here to exploit this place before they move on to other places. That includes Mr. “Hometown” and the others that came in from Georgia and Mississippi.

      • Airportwatcher | May 15, 2019 at 4:44 am |

Mr. Hometown. Made $600k on arts center contract…in police work…this is called a clue.
        Unethical.
        Malfeasance.
        Cronyism.

    • Georgia Orwell | May 14, 2019 at 9:28 pm |

I would bake for days on end if the end result would be selling the coin-operated council along with the cookies! Count me in. I think that we can draw a straight line from Jack Burrell to the disaster that Fairhope is rapidly becoming; if he cared at all about the City of Fairhope (and had nothing to hide), he would have stepped aside as Council President long ago. It is more than clear that those of us who pay attention are sick to death of him, but the rest of the Council are either terrified of him or of what he may ‘have on them’. These meetings are an embarrassment to democracy. .. little wonder that there are metal detectors sometimes now. Jack needs to go (even if we have to pay to put him on another planet, it would be well worth it.). There are deceitful and felonious politicians everywhere, but I have never encountered one that is such a smarmy evil lizard. I know that this sounds hateful, but remember that Burrell was the one that ‘fought against the Fly Creek Apartments’ until he was re-elected last time and then he became Corte’s biggest supporter. He just counts on Fairhope voters to be so stupid and old and they don’t know what’s happening to them! His dis-respect to the Mayor is appalling and makes Fairhope a very undesirable place to visit, live or conduct business. I hope that all of the new young people moving in will send him packing.

Zero planning at county level. What you expect? Kant permitted like 700 projects before he left office. It is the great sellout. Led by our crappy city council.

  8. Destitute infh | May 15, 2019 at 4:39 am |

Looks like a few younguns are worried about their town. It ain’t gonna be Fairhope in five more years. People like Jack–the pro councilman and “engineer”. We are screwed. The news covers Z E R O.
Thank God for Francis P. Ripp!!

  9. Concerned Citizen | May 15, 2019 at 7:18 am |

I pray every Sunday that good people not catalyst step up and serve on the council.

    In Jesus name we pray.

    Hallelujah!

And so it will be done!
