The Ripp Report has written about CATALYST for years. We have filed numerous complaints with the Attorney General involving political corruption and have received no reply. It seems that political corruption is not as important as the sewer violations.
It is also interesting that all the complaints about Fly Creek and Publix were ignored by ADEM, Alabama Department of Environmental Management, aka Alabama Department of Environmental Maniacs, years ago.

The irony of the lawsuit is that Fairhope has done more than any municipality in Baldwin County or the Eastern Shore, to correct sewer deficiencies. The timeline for sewer infrastructure repairs since 2016 was publicly published by the Mayor.

Mayor Wilson pledged, on her campaign platform, that the sewer infrastructure would be a priority of her administration.
She has keep her word but the CATALYST City Council refused for two years to fund the sewer rehabilitation plan.
The CATALYST Council still refuses to hire engineers and professional personnel dedicated to sewer improvements.
In Lagniappe the Mayor stated
We’ve been trying to get an engineering and technical department funded but the council has absolutely refused.–They are totally adamant against
hiring– but if we hire engineers now, that will totally help our case. I don’t know that we would have this lawsuit if those positions were funded when I asked for them. But it’s one of the things where we could be up Shit’s Creek, no pun intended, if we weren’t already doing what we have been doing.
This is the same CATALYST Council that now wants to drag up all the habits and bad characters of the past, who are the very ones responsible for the decay of Fairhope’s sewer infrastructure.

This is the same CATALYST Council that has it’s own justice system. The same CATALYST Council that disparages and bullies women, while at the same time supports it’s CATALYST friends who are accused of domestic abuse, assault and liquor violations.

Fairhope and Baldwin County need to flush CATALYST down the toilet, or we will all be up the CATALYST Shit Creek.
His council has so got to go. Their greed has ruined this town. They are owned by the developers who have overbuilt and overtaxed the roads, the schools, and the sewers. Now we have to pay for all these upgrades and now the fines.
It is not just mismanagement due to their greed but it is now intentional malfeasance
We know that Mayor Karin has been trying to upgrade the sewers for years. But Burrell the Bully and his four cuckolds have stymied her.
By the way, for you Catalysts, look up the term “Cuckold” to see what I mean. And to think you all have the nerve to question Ripp’s service? He spent his best years fighting for the USA while Catalysts spent their best years lying and stealing. Even if Ripp was a REMF (which I know he was not) at least he did lots more for his country than what the Catalysts did. He served, they stole.

Blah blah blah ….Krazy Karin can’t keep good employees including the engineers she already hired. She is about to have to hire the third water and sewer director since she got here. One guy worked less than 10 days …saw what a clusted she was and he went back to his old job. She won’t even let employees talk to Council. What a joke.

I thought Council approved all of her proposed infrastructure projects. Even the new eyesore lift station she had installed near the bluff blew out already. Dumbass did not put an auto generator on it … constructed by her “in house” engineer.
Despite the council’s efforts to make Mayor Wilson look bad, Karin still keeps outmaneuvering them. Five wimpy men against one strong woman. These men are constantly shamed despite their combined efforts to outwit the Mayor

Getting really old for citizens to have to pay for the strain on infrastructure, overcrowded schools, etc brought on by greedy developers who cash in and then are gone… repercussions left for the citizens to deal with. At the very least, impact fees on new construction should be drastically raised.
