Jack fails to see he made a mistake. I do not see the judge throwing this out like Jack is telling everyone. He opens up the floor for public input and then says “not you Ripp!”
That is not right. Ripp has a case. This could be lucrative…for the attorneys.
I don’t think anyone cares about the attorneys involved in this case. Money or no money. Wrong is wrong. If you look at the Jack Burrell has addressed Mayor Karin Wilson on many occasions and on video as well. There might not be many men with balls in Fairhope, but they wouldn’t allow Jack Burrell to talk to the Mayor or any other woman in this city. Wake up Fairhope Women. You have a narcissistic evil person who has without a doubt been worse to women than a lot of these women who are speaking up about being treated wrong in any sorts. I know a lot of true, independent and wonderful strong women in this city and when they finally figure out how Jack Burrell and his horsemen are treating the Women of Fairhope. “You will see the women take a stand”.
Jack has no choice but to fight the good fight. He is now locked into Ripp’s death grip. Fairhope could do much better.

Totally agree. Why women are not more upset is beyond me. Jack represents everything evil in Fairhope. His supporters (who are dwindling) are the same.

I am no attorney but you can’t deny someone their right under the constitution.
I don’t believe that Gulf Coast News Today could be considered a news organization, even under the most lenient definition. It reads more like the ‘Burrell Blog’; if it goes away for good, I will be happy for Fairhope. The blogger does his best to sensationalize everything negative about the City. I hope he is sued into oblivion.
After Chuckee Cheese wrote that letter about his own love life I am not surprised what he writes about. I was so embarrassed and darn felt sorry for the snake in the grass that he is in. I saw him sitting in a sheet of toliet paper the other day and his feet were dangling.
Chuckee is not good at his job. The whole paper is questionable actually.
It’s a disgrace to know that Chucky is such a terrible journalist that if the it were not for Jack Burrell and his clan spending money in his paper, Chucky would have to at least try and write a real article. I agree with feeling sorry for him after his silly article about not being loved. He all but admitted he was willing to kill himself. Strange human being!

Throw it out? This is in the UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT! This is not in a local court, one in which a GOB can maneuver and manipulate. This is constitutional, not a DUI, nor a domestic dispute that can be squashed.
The most fascinating aspect of the case is that Burrell ordered cameras put in place…and they filmed him violating Mr. Ripp’s rights. Wow! You cannot make this stuff up!
He will be with big boys who don’t play small town games. Jack, save us all the drama of this case. You are guilty. You are all about power and control. Everyone is sick of your childish behavior. Special election?
Cliff McCollum, managing editor of Gulf Coast News, doesn’t even live in Fairhope. His bias has many wondering if someone may be “paying his mortgage” to push an obvious agenda against those this Council, particularly the President, obviously despise and seek to destroy. Using media is a good way, if price is right, anyway….Long gone are the days when real journalists such as Mike Odom, a genuinely decent guy, not only investigated, but wrote and published in depth, fact based, non biased detailed articles for our local Courier, which of course the politicians despised. Unfortunately, after he and his family were threatened for his “exposing dirty laundry”, he was pretty much run out of town….Mike also possesses a law degree and now teaches at a local University. Wish he’d start his own news outlet, I’d certainly help collecting data and research…Courier office has closed, Cliffy has taken his place and not certain the new owners would approve of what’s going on with such hatred and bias in print from a so called “journalist”. Contacting his publisher, Parks Rogers, is useless. Maybe his mortgage being paid, too? Have sent correspondence along with a number of Cliffy’s incorrect and slanted articles to the new (purchased in 2014) publishers, OPC News out of South Carolina. They purchased the papers due to people in this area actually wanting to read papers, not something in print on a cell phone or tablet…Their investment may take a dive if this bias and inaccurate reporting continues. Awaiting response or some action, if nothing else.
I’d almost feel sorry for Chucky until I picture him copying and pasting questions and answers into an article. That is all he does. He doesn’t understand what he’s even writing about. Does anyone even read this crap. I canceled my subscription last summer.
